Mad as hatter

So I decided to come out as Mad Hatter for this year halloween. I still remember how I used to be a fan of Alice in Wonderland since I was little and thanks to Disney for making the human version of it so we could see Johnny Depp as Mad Hatter in the movie. Since then, I have always wanted to try to dress as him!

Prepared the whole outfit for only one night and I sacrificed my lovely dress and some new fabrics, yes I cut my dress just to make the bow tie since that was the only dress I have with this kind of motif. The hardest part was making the hat hahaha it was so fun though!

Debenhams Indonesia: Bloggers Styling Competition

 Around last week, one of Debenhams Indonesia’s representative happened to ask me to take part in the bloggers styling competition which is held by them. The competition starts from tomorrow, 27 October to 6 November 2011.

As you might know, Debenhams is one of the biggest department stores in Jakarta where you can find lots of high quality brands from local to international. So last Wednesday I was asked to style some looks with some of the nicest clothes from the store. Truth be told, there were too many items that caught my eyes but at last I managed to choose the three items from some different brands.

This is the first item that caught my eye, printed midi skirt from H! by Henry Holland, Debenhams Indonesia. Hahaha yes another skirt I know, but this skirt is just too lovely that I didn’t even think twice about taking this skirt home!

The second item is long fringe vest from Preen/EDITION, Debenhams Indonesia. You know I always fall in love with anything with fringe. As for this second outfit, I was trying to do some layering style thus I chose to wear it with a cardigan from Auburn and Ginger.

And last is the birds printed blouse from Redherring, Debenhams Indonesia. The simple touch of the small ribbon as the detail is my most favourite part of the blouse. I matched it with my maxi pants and a floppy hat..

Nothing left

It's been a while since the last time I wore a dress and I personally adore the soft color of this dress. The length is just perfect as some of you might know that I'm not really into mini skirt (but I'm okay with it though).

Actually, I was a bit scared to wear this dress on since you know, most of the times pleats give this bigger effect in some part of our body. However, with a help of the beautiful belt, it amazingly doesn't make me look fat instead the dress looks really lovely.

Finally I got myself flower printed skirt with hi low cut kind of design, which is the kind of skirt people wear a lot lately (esp on LOOKBOOK.nu). This Zambia hi low maxi skirt (Minkpink Swim) is one of the lovely products that I found on Market HQ. Speaking of Market HQ, have you checked their webstore yet? New items are up on and based on it, I could see that color blocking is still trending.

So, not only my skirt, but also my top is the hi low cut type. I see there's nothing wrong with pairing up the same kind of designs, right? It would be the double hi low cut look, no? and I think it's not really that bad though, do tell me what do you think, do they match each other?

Gypsy dream

Does this look consider as a gypsy look? modern gypsy look, perhaps? Hahaha I still remember how I used to worship the way gypsies dressed up back then. It seems that they always wear lovely long/maxi skirt which completes their goddess look, not to mention that I found their dance really alluring too. Oh that's just in my opinion though. Anyway, I got this mustard maxi skirt from Chocochips last week after I had done some shots for their upcoming collection.

I got this owl and colorful house rings from Cutie Pie, hand-cut leather disc earrings from DJC Existence, crochet cropped top (Minkpink) from MARKET HQ and the bag is BCBGeneration, best deal from Reebonz.

As for this bag, like I said before, it is one of my best deals from Reboonz. I got this BCBGeneration handbag for only S$ 155 while the original price was S$200+ (couldn't remember the exact price).

Hers Magazine Fashion Weekend

Last Friday, I went to Hers Magazine event - Fashion Weekend "New York, I Love You" which took place at Level One, Grand Indonesia. Accompanied by my sister (again), we reached at the venue quite late due to some issues at my work place, but luckily we still managed to watch the last section of fashion show by one of my favourite local brands, Happa.

The event was actually started from 10AM starting with beauty class, beauty makeover, movie screening to special music performance and of course fashion show.
